Slow Dance: Couple Questions is an iPhone app made by Eric Zou. This page says what the app collects, where it goes and why. Slow Dance has no accounts and no ads. We do not sell your data.

Kept only on your phone

These stay on your device. We never receive them.

Deleting the app deletes all of this.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules a daily card on your phone at the time you pick. No server sends them and we do not get a push token. You can turn them off any time in the iPhone Settings app.

Usage counts

The app sends a few events to our own analytics server (Umami, hosted by us at analytics.ugmi.ca) so we can see which screens work. The events are:

Each event also carries a random ID the app makes when it is first opened, the app version, the platform (iOS), screen size and language setting. The random ID is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID. Umami uses your IP address to estimate your country and does not store the address. We do not use the advertising identifier and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

This website uses the same Umami server to count page visits. It sets no cookies.

Purchases

Apple handles payment. We never see your card or your Apple ID. The app uses RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase receipt, an anonymous user ID it creates, and basic device details such as the iOS version. You can read the RevenueCat privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Data on your phone stays until you delete the app. Usage events stay on our analytics server for as long as we need them to improve the app. Because the events are not tied to your name or email, we cannot find the events that came from one person.

Children

Slow Dance is for adults in a relationship. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
